M make a customised request. Jesus! I have no pattern or dimension to follow but to "pluck from the sky". This case is neithor sturdy nor firm. However, it is huggable! I have inserted lot of cottons and hope he can hug like his bolster every night. @---/---

Cupcakes

My cousin introduces these cupcakes to me. Immediately, i feel in love with these little ones. One fine day, i decide to buy these cupcakes for my colleagues. These cupcakes are specially made from a free-lance housewife. The price is reasonable and cost only $1.50 each. The process of giving is always so heartfelt and personal especially with your name on these cakes. Aint they look lovely ?

Blue Ocean Big Tote

This one is a bit of an experiment and i am going to use it personally. My first BIG tote actually, made carefully by me after few days of pondering about the size. Inspired by my gf who need an extremely big tote which is big enough to place their baby diapers, bottle, flask and so on. I made this last sun and the weather is really hot! Hope you guys dont smell some fragrance from this bag...*wink*. (^.^)

I am not exactly thrilled with the experimental version so it will definitely get better! This is one functional bag that could fit everything, i mean its really everything! I had specially sewed in a hard plastic board onto the base that could ensure the tote stay in shape. Made by deep blue 100% cotton demin that you dont have to worry about the lumpyness of the bag. Ocean blue print is added to make the whole bag look more lively. Mini Pocket is sewed in to hold your wallet and cellphone. Magnetic snap is added as a closure this time instead of zip.
M comments : "Its a very good work with nice color combo".

This bag is sitting on an antique english chair, i really love this chair! Dad got it from an English man who went back to his country. Giving it a finished paint touch, it is as good as new!

Pokka Dots Tote

I made this Pokka Dot tote bag over the weekend. Made with textured canvas linen fabric with printed pokka dots all over. I love this size as its a medium size that fit my petite body. Handles are hand-carry, but long enough to loop around my petite arms when you need 2 hands..hee.. Zip is added to secure the bag well. No to worry about how much it can carry, its definitely a functional bag that fits my daily essentials like umbrella, 100ml mineral bottle, two cells, pouch, key , tissues. Sweet!

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

Happy Moon Cake festival everyone! Its time for the Chinese to gather as a whole family to have a sumptuous full reunion dinner for tonight. This does not mean we don't gather on usual days, but the fact happen in our new Y2k generation over here is that the retirement age is getting longer at age of 65 and that beget many working parent seldom cook for their children nowadays. What will be expected on this special day is the lighting from variety of lanterns eithor on river or land & fireworks. Moon cakes are actually quite oily and filling, so don't forget to appreciate the moon cake with Pu-er(my favourite Chinese tea) to get rid of the oiliness in your body.

This afternoon, I have a Cantonese high tea dim sum lunch at Pearl River @Suntec. Look at these photo i have taken. We have steamed chicken feet with black pepper sauce, steamed Dumpling with chili oil, deep fried wanton with sweet sour sauce, deep fried chives pancake, fluffy barbecued pork pastry, deep fried bean curd skin roll with prawn, century egg congee with shredded pork, poached live prawns, crispy noodles with seafood etc...hee...Do they sound "aliens" to you? Highly recommended to have dim sum meal if you are a tourist. :)

Je Taime le Museum

Oh Gosh...Now is midnight! I think i must have gotten the blogger virus. Seem like i have endless of "rubbish" to share over here.

Another addiction is going to the museum, old libraries, flea markets, old building and looking for vintage stuffs. I love those old sculpture , red building , cafe , antique shops and literally appreciate handmade stuffs by various unknown artists out there.

Above photos are taken in Singapore Museum last weekend. The first shoot is painted red batik by an Indonesia artist for our Museum. The gigantic statue is standing right (approx 3 storey height) at the entrance of the building.

There is a Chinese character showing in the 2nd pic. Its called "Chen Fu", its my surname and translated to "Tan" in English. Ohhoo...how i wish i could fly to Lourve Museum one day if i have the "$"....Je Taime le Museum!

Favourite Songs added

I love Music! All kinds of Music are welcome! Music make you feel enriched and filled with love all around. Music speaks a thousand word. Just added a playlist today. I have specially chosen Rihanna and OneRepublic for the song of this month, their beat is extremely catchy and the MTV is really mesmerizing.
Another new young female artist i want to introduce is Charlotte Sometimes . I am "seduced" by the song title "how could i kill a man". Dont get me wrong ok. I am not trying to seek ways to kill my man, i love M so much that i could hardly raise my voice to him...haha... Anyway, Her tune really get to me and i had replayed it several times in the train this morning. However, I have a highly preference for stuff by female artists with deep powerful voices like Beyonce, Rihanna , lewis Leona, Coco lee ..where you could find their video in youtube where you guys are very familiar with.

Rainy cold night

The weather is so weird nowadays. Probably due to the global warming i guess. Please Save the earth. After the 7th month (hungry ghost festival), it should not have rained at this period. But it rain heavily today and the wind gust strongly behind my windows. Whatever it is, I'm loving it! It will be a wonderful sleep tonight.

I probably love sewing that i could not stop sewing. The moment i step home from work, my hands would automatically look for fabrics....which print shall i chose ? Which zip color shall i match with ? Above is the 3rd poach i had done for tonight ever since i started blogging. I have to add some cuteness by matching the green gingham lining with the exterior flower print. Does the print resemble Autumn ?

New discovery

I use to sew during school days. Its was one of the subject that we need to do for the project. But i had stopped for many years since after i come to work. I love branded bags but with little income to spare i can only look at affordable range . Even though due to recent soaring materials prices, these bags did not surprise me with their price today. Mainly because they still maintained the best quality standard they have marked for themselves in the market for several years.
Needless to say, the affordable range of bags that i have mentioned earlier does not given you the quality you expect. But of course, you pay for the price you buy and that is what you would get.

Therefore, i decide to make my own designed bags and hope to share with everyone. Just wanna make a good quality and affordable bag for myself out of my hobby. I do not know how these negative thinking come along, but i just sick of corporate working life. What motivated me is the beauty of the handmade crafts coming from the inspiration of those designers and artists out there. Their creations and workmanship really rocks , and that brings me back to sewing now. What surprises me is i would shop for fabrics now rather than fanciful clothes that i used to buy online or a window shop with M. I feel a sense of achievement especially when my 1st project is done above. Ain't the pommes delicious ?

This is my very first handmade virgin Quilt bag, but unfortunately i did not like it. Partly because i am impatient as I took 8hrs to finish this bag. Furthermore, the teacher is often distracted by the other students and left me little time to explore the bag myself. After been "retired" from sewing for decades, frankly i have lose touch of sewing today. I have a very high expectation from the teacher whom i pay for the courses and obviously expect a good guidance from her. Even though the result is good, but still i do not like it.

Dear All,

Finally, i did a blog for my love of my own creation .
I have been selling stuffs in Yahoo auction for nearly 4 years, but too bad it is retiring soon.
