Sold - Kueh Lapis

Sold yesterday, heard from ppl saying that they look like Nonya Kueh Lapis (niu chen gao) or Summer Bag or Cushion bag ? Many customers are having last minute Xmas shopping, that is why my bags can sold out that fast. At least can clear out my inventory this year :) Lean... Lean..Lean that is the motto from my company i am working in. Not suppose to keep more inventory to secure the cashflow during this crisis :)

Pommes set

Today is my productive day, finish sewing two bags within 6hrs. First is the custom order for
a customer as she requested a more smaller bag and pending for her audit tomorrow. Hope she is happy with my design and made a bulk purchase...haha... ;-p

Went shopping @Isetan yesterday. I am extremely thrilled to see LOF bags on shelves, i love them at first sight. Attractive colors added with Japanese senses and very captivating. If you like handmade, i presume you would adore them. Go there and have a peek! :)

Recycle

Custom made this big-sized tote for a US company. Even though it is a small purchase, i really appreciate them to take note of my bag, since i started blogging 3 months ago. And, frankly i did not really promote my handmade. I just love to sew...sew...sew...whenever i free.
OK, back to the story.
Please use less plastic and use recycle bag more often whenever you visit the supermarket.
Even though we are obliged to use recycle bag on every Wednesday in all super marts in Singapore, i do hope the rules would change to a everyday event.
Please save GAIA, our motherland.

"Long charm" bag

Today is a sewing Sunday for me again. Right now i am watching the latest HK drama (THE GEM OF LIFE <珠光寶氣>) and update the blog at the same time.
I made a new "Long charm" bag today. ha ha...Please don't be mistaken. How can my handmade bag compete with LC ? Theirs is leather while mine is made of cheap canvas, fragile and not water resistant.

Description:
Made of Sweden canvas exterior
Black cotton interior
Zip & magnetic snap as a closure.
*Even if you forget to zip your bag , you can still lock it by the magnetic snap.
Two inner pockets are sewn to carry yr HP / IPod etc.
3" base gusset act as a bag bottom.
Size : 14" (L) x 9"(W) x 3" (B)

Thanksgiving

These shots are excellent work, pretty composition ! What a beautiful mood in this capture! Love the light and the board walk up to the beach. I really like the shadow and light in the foreground and the brilliant colors added to the nature.

Times fly pretty fast. Once again, Its Thanksgiving day! But the situation wasn't too optimistic in Asia especially in Bangkok and Mumbai, and with the bleak Economic next year.

Anyway, Its Thanksgiving day OK, let keep the blues away.

I wanna delicate these "Thanks You So much" to the following :-

1. Thanks Mama & Papa for their patience whenever i am in bad mood.

Rice Bowl

Discover the latest headline today: Stock stock soar after Citi bailout , Civil servants had to tighten belt & Philip axe 1600. Had a casual chat with my colleagues over the breakfast in Senai this morning. Some companies already enforce shutting down on Xmas and Lunar New year, hit impact especially on the manufacturing firms. And some had exercised MVC which mean cut salary to secure the job to avoid any layoff possibilities.
Even though the economic look gloomy over the next few quarters, i have one conclusion that came across my mind. I strongly believe Govt sector is definitely a "rice bowl" as compare to private sector during this tough period in Singapore. At least you had enjoyed the fruits for the past few years and the cutting of pay today is nothing as compared to the past you had earned. And, the best part is the salary will be adjusted (increase tremendously) when the Singapore GDP growth is positive. I do not have the privilege to work in Govt sector due to not entering into local University. And i do not have anyone to guide me which path to go. That is why i end up in private sector where the growth is slow and stagnant and the bonus depends solely on the company performance.
If my kids result is outstanding, I would encourage them to choose Govt sector as their top priority. This is where their career path shines regardless of good or bad times. I am not aware our Town council is so rich until today . Know what i mean ? *wink*

Rainbow mini set

I find myself getting fast in sewing now, especially the smaller pouch. Both bags are added with gusset, perfect to stuff your daily belongings into this mini set. Just added a new love song "Lucky - Colbie Caillat & John Marz". Ain't it colorful ?

"Cushion" Big Tote

The Weather is so hot today. I suppose it has become a routine task for me to do a bag every sun. It is a day when i am free and able to spend time with myself and enjoy the things i do. The more i look at it, the more i feel its look like a big cushion.

240GB Sony Thumbdrive

This is neither selling in Singapore nor showing in any Sony websites. Are you surprised to see this 240GB HDD as light as the size of the thumb ? My colleague bought this drive from China and our jaws went wide open. If this is really selling in Singapore, i bet those 2.5" portable HDD is going to say bye-bye (Original Artiste : Mariah Carey). I heard the Price is around $20 ~ $70. I had browse through most forums, seem like this drive is not as stable as its seem. Nevertheless if its fake or True, it does sound too good to be true. BTW, It's consumer choice!

Baby Bleu Autum set

Sewing has became my hobby since Sept 2008. What inspired me is those fantastic crafts handmade by talented designers out there. Therefore I decided to brush up my skills by borrowing books from the library or any bookstores. I prefer Japanese and European style fabrics the best. Their unique style is filled with surprises everyday.

Senai Trip

I would eat this wanton noodle and a cup of Milo for Breakfast whenever i went in Senai for work. This looks rather simple and traditional. But, what is so special about this is neither the Char Siew nor Wanton but the noodle. The noodle is extremely truly thin and chewy and i guarantee you that you wont be able to find it selling in Singapore. The char siew is lean unlike those selling in Singapore , you could still find some fatty meat in it.

After a long meeting in Senai, my boss and i headed back to Singapore. It was not drizzling, i would say it is "pouring" cats and dogs today. Sorry, but I had to complain again. The drainage system in msia is really very poor. You could see several water bonds on the road. Left with no choice, Our car drove past a pool of water and water splashed up to the front and both sides of the windows as if we are driving a submarine. We are totally terrified as we could not see a thing. We stopped our car in the middle of the road . It was a close shave , Lucky the cars behind us did not bump into us due to our sudden brakes.

Amway - Very very poor service

I cant tolerate anymore, I want to lodge a complaint here! I think this is the second time i had requested for the product to be delivered to my home. My poor mother had standby at home from 9am to 12pm. The product finally came 3hrs later at 3pm. I am working in Msia today and i kept calling my upline for help. What she could do is to lodge a complain. Furiously, i called Amway hotline for help. My poor mummy waited at home without any complaint. She dared not even step out of the door. Below is the conservation between the old man and my mother.

Mother : why are you so late

Old man : So Sorry , i am so busy today . Here is the product.

He pass the product to my mum.

Mother : I have to check the product to see if they are correct.

Old man : Don't check hor, just sign here and i have to rush for other delivers. If every customer want to check their product, i have no time to entertain such service. If there is anything missing, ask your daughter to call Amway directly.

He is an old man, aged around 60+. My mother don't want to argue with him and sign obediently.

After the old man left, my mother spend time bathing, make up and prepare to go out to meet my aunt.

40 min later.....

My mother went down and here is the interesting part.

The old man is queueing at the Singapore pools below my flat. He saw my mum and say he had won the lottery $1k and waiting to collect his winning.

WHAT THE FISH??!!! Did i hear he say he had to rush for other customers orders? No wonder We had waited for a F** hours from 9am to 3pm!

What a terrible experience we had with Amway! Before i forget, the first time i had waited is 1 hour. The morale of this story is ....."Please don't ever be soft hearted with any old ppl! They are cunning on the inside".

Hippo Set Again

Oh my GOD! Why is this print again? You all must be bored keep looking at this print again and again, too bad haha...i still have 2 yards left. I think my camera is not as good as SLR. My room is pretty dark, with too little sunlight indoor. To capture a good quality picture, I have to go down to the park and snap it. Hope no one find me a werido ..

Our Special Day

Took so long to post it up, girls.....heee...Appreciate all best friends namely Joey, Vivian, Yvonne, Grace ,Joanne, Liz, Baoyun, etc...Appreciate all their wishes and gifts and I heart you all! I am so happy that day! Finally..i should sing the "Final Countdown"...Wait a minute...its just the beginning of the journey, i have not go through that process yet. Hmm...still queueing up for the normal procedures like most sporeans couple do.

This is going to be the tough year for our 44th president of USA. Lots of agenda are waiting for his instructions...Financial Tsunami, Iraq war, etc which is directly affecting the whole world. All eyes will be watching at him closely. I like him as he is young and aggressive and most importantly Change is in his dictionary!
Anyway , actions speaks louder than words, Lets pray for a better world tomorrow.

Shopping Shopping

These photos are taken in a most bustling tourist town in Singapore, Orchard. 1st picture is my fav shoot even though its not taken in the best quality mode , the background is slighly blur but still look presentable - Rouge Classic Teapot. Any idea what is the 2nd photo ? Its Espresso! All kind of fragrances and flavours you could chose from the box air flown from Belgium. Do you notice one is missing ?!*wink*. Next photo is our country flower sitting in a big nest. This is the popular Japanese doll which most young girl will go crazy about, but i don't really fancy it at all. Just like to snap my cam whatever i see something interesting.

BTW, I have no idea that Halloween falls on this Thurs ? Its our special day, man? Is it a coincidence or something ?

Huge Rouge Hippo Bag

Made specially for YJ. Experiment with different stitching patterns on my machine today. This is my first trial. Had Decorated the plain white handle with red pokka dots ribbon. Beautify the pocket with the same Hippo print rather than my past design.
Plain yellow cotton as interior and magnetic snap as a closure.

PS : Will add a small pouch for you as there is a minor "technical fault" found on this bag...you will find out when u see him. (>.<)

Retrotic tote

I love this fabric! Custom Made for J. She had two cellphones, so you will see two HP size pockets. Retro canvas fabric as exterior and pink cotton as the interlining. Both are interfaced to keep the bag sturdy. Magnetic snap as a closure.

Money not enough

More Bad News keep popping everyday. Everywhere seem like to be in a disorder state. The world economy is headed into a recession despite the global financial market rescue effort. Needless to say, I am greatly affected and there is no such word called "guarantee" in my dictionary anymore. Local banks are helpless. I am just like this tiny fragile hamster been squeezed tightly by a huge gigantic hand and choked to death!
I would rephrase this children song " London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down"...BY " All the stock are falling down, falling down, falling down..."

PS : Should make more bags to secure my bread !

Card Holder

Experiment with this mini card holder last night. Just fit for a couple of credit cards on both sides. Ocean blue print on the exterior coupled with a blue gingham interior with matching button and a blue string attached to it.
